New COVID – 19 Office Procedures Keeping You and Our Team Safe

Our team is ready and we can hardly wait until we can see you and continue supporting you to achieve a pain-free full recovery.

Booking Appointments

In order to meet our commitment to patient and staff safety, we have changed our booking procedures. You will be asked screening questions at the time of booking, on your reminder e-mail, and at the entrance door to the clinic. This is to make sure that we are minimizing risk for everyone. We ask that you attend alone if possible. If you need an attendant to help you get into that clinic that person will also be required to be screened for COVID-19. Once your attendant has delivered you to your appointment then they will need to wait in the car and we will call them once you are ready to go. Again, this is to keep everyone safe.

Appointment Day

Please use the washroom before you come to the clinic. Please come prepared to not have access to the washroom. It will be for emergency use only as it requires sanitizing after each visit.

Please remain in your car until just one minute before your appointment as we need to adhere to the number of people allowed in the clinic. Please leave all personal belongings in your car ie. Jacket, purse, water bottle, etc.

At the door you will see a STOP sign with COVID – 19 questions. Please read and go through the questions.  Call the front desk to let them know that you have arrived for your appointment.

At this time, you will be asked again about your COVID screening answers and directed accordingly. We of course cannot be able to admit anyone with any COVID symptoms.

You may then proceed to the clinic. We will provide you with a clean proper mask at the door of the clinic.  You may have your temperature checked and documented and be directed to have hand sanitizing observed and be advised on proper mask wear and use.

The waiting areas will not be used until the threat of COVID is resolved. Once you have checked in with the Patient Care Coordinator at reception (6ft apart at the yellow tape line) you will move directly to your treatment room to see your therapist. The Patient Care Coordinator, who will be wearing a mask, will advise you as to which room to move to. Your therapist will be wearing a mask and a visor. Treatment times are approximately 45 minutes for initial visits and 20 minutes for subsequent treatments. The therapist will practice safe hand hygiene and remain in the room with you to prevent any cross-contamination. You will notice a change in the fee schedule to reflect the significantly increased costs of providing care in this COVID environment.

At the end of your appointment you will be escorted along marked lines to the line at the front desk where you can book appointments and make payment. Payment can be made electronically through our contactless tap Visa and Debit system. All receipts will be e-mailed, printed copies will not be provided to minimize contact wherever possible.

You will then be escorted to the exit where you will remove your mask and then re-sanitize your hands.

Behind the scene cleaning and policies

We want to make sure that you feel that you are entering a safe and comfortable environment for your treatment. The safety of you, your family members and our staff is our number one priority. Treatment beds and any contact surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected with products recommended by Health Canada following each treatment or contact.  Staff are also screened for any COVID symptoms prior to arriving for work and will stay home if sick. Virtual TelePhysiotherapy will continue to be offered for anyone that should not be attending the clinic or prefers treatment from their home.

One day life will return to normal, yet for now we must all do our part to keep the virus from spreading. Thank you for your patience and your support – we will work hard to continue to help you feel better and keep active, and live a healthy and vital life. Our team is fully dedicated to helping you regain your mobility and function, reduce your pain, and regain your health.  We are here for you!

We are open and here for you. Please call us and we will work to help you. Please check with us before coming to the clinic.
